Day 2 day life, mostly in Shanghai China
// 3x36 2013
My friend, who also is a photographer, gave me a old used point & shoot film camera for my birthday. Some months before, on the topic of film, he found out that I had not shot any in 7 years.
All three film rolls were developed and scanned in the same shop. Everything on the photos is shot over two months, mostly in Shanghai, with only a couple of frames in Hong Kong.
I was not sure what to expect, my friend had taped over the instruction on how to use the camera. The tape is still there. I like the imperfections and personality in film. I actually often skew the colors in my digital work, to give it a uniform look.
Digital desperatly needs charecter, where film has that in abundants. I guess this is the big appeal factor of film.

The way I see it, a camera is like a hammer to a carpenter. Some are comfortable, more suited for certain things, but at the end of the day, it is just a tool. That is the main reason why I had not shot any film for that long.
